Sports Podiatry - Whether its Shin Splints or Strained Ankle, We Can Get You Back On Your Feet
Are you sporting good feet?
Our feet absorb 1 to 2 times our body weight during normal walking and up to 4 times our weight when jogging. Whichever activity you participate in, chances are you may have incurred a foot, ankle or knee injury at some stage of your sporting life. A significant proportion of sports-related injury is directly attributed to the feet or lower limbs, as they are the weight-bearing structures of your body, which are most vulnerable under stress or constant impact.
We understand – so we can diagnose
Rhodes Podiatry understands the structure and movement of the foot and can therefore diagnose foot conditions, recommend appropriate footwear and training regimes suited to your lifestyle and foot condition. Wearing the right footwear plays an important role in maintaining an injury free sporting season. When buying sports shoes it is important to know your foot type. The shape of your foot, high arched (supinated), low arched (pronated) or neutral, will determine the type of shoes that you will require. Avoid being influenced by the marketing hype and look for a shoe that satisfies your needs the best.
